Respectful Care recently relocated to one of the office units at the Park Road Business Place in Mansfield Woodhouse but later expanded and relocated to the workshop space downstairs, which has been modified for office use.
Respectful Care started up last year and offers personal care and support to vulnerable and elderly residents in Mansfield District. The management team has 40 years of experience in the care industry and has 24 experienced members of staff.
Managing Director Scott Marsh said: "We decided to go with the unit at Park Road as it offered the most competitive price. It includes all the utilities and the phone and internet connections were already in place when we moved in. The unit also has good security and a large car park, which really appealed to us as we have a lot of staff coming and going throughout the day."
Registered Care Manager Lisa Nussey said: "The location is very convenient for us as we work with clients all over the District, so it is useful to be centrally based and be able to access people quickly."
Respectful Care moved into the smaller of the units in September 2013 and then relocated to the larger workshop area in February 2014. Scott said: "We found the initial process of moving into the unit very easy. When we expressed our interest, staff from Mansfield District Council showed us around and explained the benefits and financial incentives available."
"Once we decided to move into the building, everything was turned around really quickly and we were fully established within two weeks."
"We found the staff at the Council very easy to work with and they offered us plenty of guidance when we first started out."
"We felt that the unit offered us the full package and moving in was very straight forward. We also found the moving process very easy when we decided to move to the bigger space downstairs."
"We would recommend the premises to any start-up business - there are so many advantages being based here and it's a great place to work as all the businesses in the building support each other."
